JAGATI-Research, Knowledge & Policy Engagement Initiatives (J-RKPEI) is envisioned as an integrated platform for generating evidence, strengthening knowledge systems and promoting informed policy and development practice. Recognizing that effective and sustainable development requires reliable evidence, community knowledge and continuous learning, J-RKPEI undertakes baseline studies, action research, impact assessments, documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives across JAGATI’s thematic areas. The initiative also promotes dialogue among communities, researchers, government institutions, civil society, development practitioners and other stakeholders. By combining research, field experience, community perspectives and policy engagement, J-RKPEI aims to generate Evidence, Knowledge and Policy Pathways for Inclusive and Sustainable Development.

Baseline, Impact & Action Research

Baseline, Impact & Action Research Initiative promotes systematic research and evidence generation to understand development challenges, assess programme outcomes and identify effective solutions. The initiative undertakes baseline studies, impact evaluations, participatory assessments and action research across areas such as livelihoods, climate resilience, natural resources, nutrition, gender and governance. By generating reliable evidence and learning from field experiences, JAGATI aims to strengthen programme design, improve implementation and contribute to informed development practice.

Community Knowledge & Participatory Research

JAGATI Community Knowledge & Participatory Research Initiative recognizes communities as active knowledge holders and partners in the research process. The initiative promotes participatory methods that enable rural and tribal communities to contribute their experiences, traditional knowledge, priorities and perspectives. JAGATI Development Data & Evidence Observatory is envisioned as a platform for compiling, analysing and communicating evidence on key development issues and programme outcomes. The Observatory may track changes in areas such as livelihoods, climate resilience, natural resources, nutrition, gender, governance and social inclusion. By strengthening the use of data and evidence, JAGATI aims to support learning, improve programme effectiveness and contribute to informed planning and policy discussions.

Stakeholder Dialogue & Consultation

Stakeholder Dialogue & Consultation Initiative creates platforms for constructive engagement among communities, government institutions, researchers, civil society organizations, development practitioners and other stakeholders. The initiative organizes consultations, workshops, roundtables and knowledge-sharing events to discuss emerging challenges, share experiences and explore collaborative solutions.
