Who We Are
JAGATI Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing inclusive and sustainable development among rural, tribal, and marginalized communities. The Foundation works to strengthen livelihoods, natural resource management, and community institutions through participatory and evidence-based approaches.
Its core work focuses on promoting climate-resilient agriculture, including millets and agroecological practices, along with livelihood diversification through farm and non-farm activities. JAGATI supports the development of community-based enterprises, producer groups, and women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to enhance income and economic security.
The Foundation actively works on natural resource management, including land, water, and forest governance, helping communities adopt sustainable practices and improve resilience to climate change. It also facilitates access to government schemes, rights, and entitlements, particularly for vulnerable groups such as tribal communities and women.
JAGATI Foundation integrates food, nutrition, and health interventions by promoting nutrition-sensitive agriculture, community awareness, and linkages with public health systems. In addition, it undertakes research, monitoring, and knowledge documentation to support evidence-based planning and policy advocacy.
Aligned with Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, the Foundation collaborates with government agencies, academic institutions, and CSR partners to design and implement impactful development programmes. Through its holistic and community-driven approach, JAGATI Foundation aims to build resilient livelihoods, empowered communities, and sustainable ecosystems for long-term social transformation.
